So this picks up only days from where the last book left of. Ethan, Finn and Tegan have all created this truce to work together. But because of Tegan’s betrayal to Ethan, he is being very rude to her and it causes friction between the group. The vampires are not speaking with Tegan as well as they are always getting into some type of argument when they get around each other.

There is a lot of action packed in this installment. We get to see Tegan fight a little and also kill someone. And then you have it, the almighty sorcerer is back. And he is back trying to claim what he thinks belongs to him and he will stop at nothing trying to get it.
There are some tragedies in this installment (sad)..

We also get a little background about Ira. I’m glad we were able to get to know him a little better. It will be interesting to see what happens between him and Delilah.

And speaking of something between, Finn (I really like his character) and Tegan… So many questions there. The only thing I have to say about this is I HATE love triangles. To me it’s just a waste of time, because someone ends up hurt and it’s just a waste of everyone’s energy. Sometimes you just want a good series without the love triangles. Nevertheless, it’s going to be interesting what is going to happen in the next installment. Not for sure if what she has with Ethan will last because of the whole Blood thing. So with that said, I am on to the next read.

this book is great read. im dying to know what happens next because the end will have you reeling !!! alot goes on in this book you just have to read it i loved the first and second book of this series also so you really need to download this one it has alot of good action and love too
This is the best of this series the war has been won tegan and Ethan are in love Ethan is now over all vamps and what happens next the evil sorcers live to come back another day who survies who dies,I'm waiting for the next and last book to come out. exciting

I blazed through this entire series! Fun and innovative paranormal romance with lots of characters to love and hate. Plenty of action. An innovative plot that will keep you reading until your eyes are crossing and you can't go on. Do read this story in order or it won't make much sense.

With everything Tegan has gone through, nothing can compare to how she must deal with things getting worse. Ethan hates her, Finn is cracking the ice around her heart, her dad is in Hell, and evil is ripping up her city. I loved how the book ended, and cannot wait to see how the repercussions of her actions play out. Waiting eagerly for the next book...
I just felt like this was a placeholder somehow. It's as good as the other three, but felt much shorter, and less defined. The tone has changed from the prior two books. This entire book, for the most part, is just concerned with one subject. It bridges the gap between the disaster at the end of the second book, when Tegan became caught in her plots to reclaim Rebecca, which resulted in the destruction of her relationship with Ethan, and his ultimate forgiveness of her. We knew this was bound to happen, but I felt that more should have been accomplished in this particular book. I came away with the feeling that it was designed to simply set up the premise for the fourth, and final book.

Yes, some other things did take place. The stories of Tegan's father, Theodore and Rita have been enlarged upon, but not much. Finn has moved more definitely into the position of rival to Ethan (although he's become the one not chosen). Ira has become a much more important character. But, all in all, the only real substantial movement has been in the characters of Ethan and Tegan.

Some of the reviewers here have said that they were surprised at the ending, and the choices made by both Tegan and Ethan. I saw this coming at least half way through the book. I wasn't sure it would happen, necessarily, at the end of this one, but knew it would come either here or at the beginning of the fourth. It's been foreshadowed heavily throughout the first two. It was clearly going to happen to a vampire, and the only vampire who made sense was Ethan. So, I don't see what all the surprise is about.

The fourth book is coming out in December. That's a really long time. The wait for this third one was also long. My recommendation to everyone out there is to wait to read all of them until the series is done. I had to reread the second to remember who many of the characters were. The plot was still strong in my mind, but not all the peripheral people. If I'd known these books were going to be this good, I'd have waited. When you care so much about the characters, it's hard to interrupt the flow of the story. I'm actually getting kind of tired of all the trilogies and serial stories out there. If a book is good enough, you don't need to build momentum with readers to sell it by chopping it up into pieces and publishing them a year or so apart with irritating cliff hangers at the ends. The word will travel.
